Geerlinks Home Hardware Building Centre and Furniture store is owned and operated by Craig Geerlinks, Adam MacLeod and Deb Geerlinks of St. Thomas.

Harry started his career with Saveway Lumber (part of Beaver Lumber and Molsons Group) forty some years ago in Stratford Ont. This was also the former Beaver Lumber location on Forest Road in Stratford. Harry met his wife Deb in Stratford who was attending nursing school.

From there they moved to Tecumseh Ont. (near Windsor) to an asst. manager’s position with Beaver Lumber. The next move was to Exeter Ont. as manager of the Beaver Lumber location on the main street and then back to Tecumseh as Beaver Lumber store manager.

With a proven management ability they were offered the Beaver Lumber Franchise location in Tilbury Ont. in the mid 1980’s.

In 1993 they sold the Tilbury location and moved to Deb’s home town of St Thomas and purchased the Beaver Lumber Franchise there. They successfully operated the Beaver franchise on First St. serving contractors, builders and homeowners. In 1999 Home Hardware Stores Limited, St. Jacobs bought the Beaver Lumber Franchise from Molsons. Harry and Deb then became Dealer Owners as part of the Home family of stores.

With their leadership and knowledge in the business community and the willingness of family and staff to go that extra mile for the customer, Geerlinks Home Hardware Building Centre expanded from a 21,000 sq ft showroom at 7 First Ave to a 48,000 sq ft store at 295 Wellington St.

Likewise, in Aug of 2004, Geerlinks expanded their business by adding the Home Furniture banner and a full assortment of home furnishings.

Their continued community support has enabled them to be the most recognized retailers not only in the community but also within the Home Hardware Stores family.
